DISCLAIMER
The National Research Council - Institute for BioEconomy ("CNR-IBE") is the Data Controller
of the data of users who use the support services for soft wheat and durum wheat crops of the GranoScan applications ("Application") and the AgroSat platform ("Platform"), pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679. The user, who uses the
aforesaid services as a guest, declares to have read and understood the privacy information at the
following link
https://www.agrosat.it/it/privacy
The user is also informed that the contents and geolocalized images uploaded by the user
on the Applications will be processed through the Platform in order to create
reports in anonymous and/or aggregated mode that can be consulted through the Platform by Barilla G. e R.
Fratelli, in order to allow the performance of support services for soft wheat and durum wheat crops.
1. Processing of personal data
GranoScan can only be used in guest mode, that is, without first creating a user account.
1.1 Using GranoScan
In order to use GranoScan correctly, it is essential to use the GPS location of your device, indicate the service selection choices within the application menus and send the images taken via our App. This data is transferred to the AgroSat platform for processing and returning the results. This data is stored in a temporary AgroSat profile for a maximum duration of 6 months, anonymized and used for the sole purpose of improving our recognition algorithms. The GranoScan App stores this data only for the time between opening and closing the App itself.
1.2 Mobile Device Interface Management
- camera, for taking pictures to enable automatic recognition models
- GPS, for initializing disease risk models
2. GranoScan functionality analysis
GranoScan uses Crashlytics to collect anonymous data related to crashes. Therefore, if an error occurs, the service collects information relating to:
- the device (brand and model)
- date and time of the crash
- operating system version
- camera info, if the error concerns its use
- report on the malfunction status
This data is necessary in order to guarantee the proper functioning of GranoScan and the identification of errors in the code. This data is also stored on the crash analysis server and used only by developers with the aim of improving the App.
GranoScan uses the camera to take photos and send them to the Agrosat server which analyses them in search of plant diseases. Once the processing is complete, the
device receives a notification that invites the user to retrieve the results from the server and
consult them.
3. Transfer of data for functionality and processing carried out on our behalf
For the management, analysis and processing of data we turn to AgroSat of the National Research Council Institute for BioEconomy of Florence (
https://www.agrosat.it).
AgroSat processes data only on our behalf and strictly adhering to our
instructions, on the basis of contracts relating to this assignment.
AgroSat analyses and stores data, provides assistance to the user, improves the
user experience of the GranoScan application and guarantees hosting services.
By giving your consent, the user accepts the transfer of your data to AgroSat.
